SEATAC
About
Nova Scotia’s first Technology Access Centre, SEATAC supports Canadian businesses by providing research and development services. Drawing on Nova Scotia Community College’s resources and well-equipped facilities, SEATAC offers services that increase the productivity and innovation of small- and medium-sized enterprises in the ocean sector. SEATAC takes a market-driven approach to its role in the ocean innovation ecosystem and provides efficient, responsive and customer-focused services. Our research and development services include at-sea product testing with our crewed 9-metre research vessel and mechanical/electrical design-and-build support focused on prototyping and advanced manufacturing. We also assist with data analytics and advanced coastal mapping services. Companies working with us retain their intellectual property. SEATAC is co-located at the Centre for Ocean Ventures and Entrepreneurship (COVE) and NSCC Ivany Campus. Enabling innovators to seize opportunities in the rapidly growing global ocean economy, SEATAC is here to help to position Canada’s ocean technology industry as a leader in sustainable ocean innovation.
